“Jesus said, Let the
little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven
belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14
This time of year is so wonderful with children. It is also a stressful time. The kids are tired of school, excited about
presents and probably partaking of way too much sugar. They pull at your heartstrings one minute and
the next minute send you searching for the wooden spoon to help them remember
their manners. It has also been raining non-stop
in my part of the country and my daughter-in-loves are needing a big space to
send my precious grandchildren somewhere to run off some energy.
Children lose the opportunity to remain innocent these days
way too early. The world conspires to
involve them in too many adult subjects and situations. Instead of playing they are being played in
social and political circumstances far above their understanding.
Despite all the challenges, do not miss the opportunities this time allows to teach your little ones about Jesus and how He can change their life forever. What’s more, if we could see this Christmas season from their point of view, we just might catch a glimpse of the wonder as well.
